The loft bed will seat 2 students on top with lap table trays for their devices. Underneath the bed will sit a rug , 3 floor pillow and 3 more lap trays. This will give my students alternative seating options during the technology section of math center time. These options allow manageable movement in the classroom while promoting educational excellence in "out of the box" environment . Since studies have shown a decrease in student engage in traditional classroom settings, I feel flexible seating is an effective method of increasing student engagement without jeopardizing the educational content. This technology center will allow my students to comfortably work on independent activities, and work collaboratively within their respective leveled groups .
