Our school would like to implement a sensory room to allow students a safe space to go for comfort and calming when they are overwhelmed, or having difficulty with situations in a classroom that can be alleviated through special lighting, music,and equipment. The sensory room will develop the potential of our youth through educational initiatives by meeting students' basic needs of being able to participate and focus in the classroom at a higher level. It will increase creative sensory input, facilitate communication and mobility, and provide relaxation by eliminating distraction. Our students need sensory items when overwhelmed in the classroom.

About my class
