I serve four fifth grade classes with a total of 89 students. I teach reading and social studies. We live in an economically disadvantaged community and most of the student body is eligible for free lunch. My students are hard-working and highly motivated despite many struggles they and their families face each day. We are also a military town, and this causes concerns and often separations from parents which other counties and states do not have to face. They are eager to learn and enthusiastic about school. They come to school every day willing to give their 100% in anything I ask them to do. They are an inspiration to us all.
