My students are lucky enough to have Macbooks to use as a resource to enhance their academic instruction. Many of them have bought cheap dollar store ear buds to use with them and they just don't last. Within weeks of school starting most students did not have earbuds or headphones to use. We have access to tons of great video clips, graphics, and animations to help their curious minds explore and learn about science topics.... but they either watch without volume , or try to have the volume low enough to hear but not loud enough to distract others and it just doesn't do the resources justice. They need headphones.
