My 22 students are curious third graders who love to explore and ask questions. At this age, students are curious about the world and nature around them and how things work. They are just gaining the "global" idea that things are connected. They are at the age where you can start to use humor, puns, and sophisticated academic language. My students are confident readers but not fantastic, fluent readers yet. They still enjoy learning and are easily engaged in all topics. They need work on their math facts and basic skills but overall enjoy math time. Each child begs for independent time on our school computers and they all think they are techno savvy but they struggle with finding appropriate resources and overall navigation. Each student has something to improve in their writing from adding basic conventions to improving their word choice.
