The weather in Oklahoma is very unpredictable. Because of this my special needs prekindergarten students miss out often on very important sensory and gross motor activity outside. This includes swinging! Outside play is key for all children's development, but even more so for children with autism and/or motor delays. A portable, foldaway swing set that can be used inside the classroom will provide the sensory activity that my special needs students need to continue with their development. Our school is in a very high poverty area. Any extra therapeutic time we can provide for them is beneficial in the long run!
