Students spend seven hours a day learning and sitting in their classroom. I am a big believer in getting students up and active in the classroom, both for physical fitness and to help with learning. Flexible seating in the classroom also allows students to move in their seats without distracting others. An amazing parent brought in two exercise ball chairs for my class to use this school year, and my students have fallen in love with them. All my students want to sit on the ball chairs, and I want to be able to give them more opportunities to do just that. When my project is funded, my students will be able to sit on an exercise ball chair, Wobble Chair or stool at least once a day for one of the subject periods. Please help allow my students to get moving in their seats while stimulating their brains to learn!
