I am very excited this year to join the staff of an elementary school that is growing very quickly. I am one of two fifth grade teachers that were added over the summer months. Our fifth grade team views all the students as ours. We have a team approach to teaching and try to focus on the best methods of instruction for our students. Our school is very much a community school and most of my students live within walking/biking distance. The area is also experiencing a building boom and so there are many new students to the school and area. My classroom is a place where we do a lot of growing as learners together. Already this year I have been a part of great discussions and and excitement to be at school.
