If given the opportunity to have this rug in our classroom, I know we would use it every day to help build letter recognition and letter sounds. We will be able to use this rug during whole group and small group activities. I can already see the excitement and engagement that this will bring from my students. Technology is such a powerful tool to even the smallest of students. Technology ignites students and turns learning into a meaningful experience, this rug can and will do just that. Not only can this rug help with letter recognition and sounds but we can continue the learning trajectory when we are ready to start building words. There is software for math that helps with number recognition and understanding. We will also be able to integrate science and social studies into our learning as well when we talk about the different parts of the world these animals come from and their habitats. I am so excited to be able to give my students an opportunity like this and I know they will be just as equally excited to explore and make connections with this amazing rug that comes to life.
