The items I've asked for coordinate with our thematic units and my students' common interests and learning goals. We will use the fort and the tree house to learn about different types of buildings and how to build them. We will use the color maze and the alphabet robots to work on preacademic skills related to their IEP goals to help them prepare for Kindergarten. I have several students who are interested in dinosaurs and I will use them to engage them, learn about colors, build time on task, and develop fine motor skills. All of things will help keep my students engaged in meaningful learning activities that are fun and age appropriate for early learners, that have developmental delays and autism.
