My school serves kindergarten through 4th grade that live in a predominantly Hispanic suburban area. The school is surrounded by neighborhoods in a cul-de-sac area that is hidden away from the main road. The students are very interested in their health and have responded very favorably to the health lessons I have been providing. The materials I have requested would aide in helping to show my students from someone Else's perspective why being healthy is so important. The items on my wishlist are DVDs to help teach about portion sizes, activities in the gym that support go foods not whoa foods while being active. There are some great posters and banners available that will give my students the visual stimulation they need to get the health point across.
