Abibliophobia: (n) the fear of running out of reading materials! Having access to a variety of interesting books will allow my students to become stronger readers. Recent studies on literacy confirm what educators have known for years: the more contact children have with books, the better readers they become. Teachers can promote better reading performance by reading to children daily and by having them interact with books through the extensive use of classroom libraries. I want to ensure that my classroom library is a literature rich classroom. The books I have chosen are diverse in interests levels and reading levels to appeal to all of my diverse readers. "A book is a gift that you can open again and again."
