Students learn best through exploring and manipulating the world around them. Having these materials at their fingertips help us engage in learning quickly and effectively. If each child has his/her own bag of research proven effective manipulatives, we can dive in to real learning every day without wasting time dispensing and collecting the materials each day. They can simply reach into their desks, collect the materials we need for the day's game, and begin the fun! I've had huge success with similar materials listed on my wish list. Students will love having their "own" materials rather than sharing with a neighbor.
