I am always looking for different ways to introduce diversity and inclusiveness into my classroom. This project will allow me to offer my students a variety of books in my classroom library that they can read and identify with. I will use the picture books to both start and reinforce conversations that we will have as a class. The goal of this project is allow my students to see reflections of themselves in literature. I want all of my students to feel that they are in a safe learning environment. This can be achieved by offering them books that they can relate to.
