I have been teaching at the middle school level for 5 years! As I've watched the kids and had the opportunity to work with them it hit me how truly lucky I am to be able to work with such a great group of kids. I especially love seeing them grab books from our library and sit down to read them during our independent reading time. As you may or may not know we use Unique Learning System as our main curriculum in the middle school. Within our curriculum, there is an N2Y Library with nearly 1,000 online books including classroom books, trade books, library books, leveled books or easy read books. Thinking about this upcoming school year, I want to be sure that our students maintain their love of reading and be able to find books that are just right for them. Our Middle School library is just that, a place where our students go, but rarely ever find anything that is right for them. I want to change that! Let reading be the window to our world! I want to use the Scotch Laminators, Scotch Laminating Sheets and Plastic Comb Bindings to put together books for our school library that will give my students the same opportunities as their peers. They deserve to be able to walk into their school library knowing they will be able to find books that they are able to read!
