Having additional Chromebooks will allow my students to explore many of the amazing technology tools available for the classroom! With the opportunity to work on a Chromebook device, students can practice their skills and show their learning in a variety of ways. Creating book summarizing videos through Flipgrid, reviewing the steps for long division with a Decktoys hunt, and providing feedback on a water cycle lesson using Plickers are a few examples of these classroom tools and the endless possibilities. My students become highly engaged and motivated when they are able to complete an assignment using a Chromebook. Not only are they able to showcase their learning in a variety of ways, but they are also developing skills of using technology for educational purposes. Students are more likely to stay on task and focused on their assignment when they are interested in their learning. Living in a society filled with technological advancements, my students are often very interested in completing any academic task if it involves fun and exciting work on a Chromebook!
