Work in our classroom community is based on individual or small group, hands on learning. These materials will be used as a way for students to work with and explore electricity and coding, which are learning experiences currently missing from our environment. Students will be given an opportunity to learn new skills and create new interests, thus leading to more questions and the desire to take learning further. The materials requested will be used to set up a technology center in the classroom. While students will have opportunities for learning using the Circuit Clay and littleBits, they will also be able to utilize the Arduino chip for practice with coding. Beginning to work in this areas, in the early elementary years, will prepare them for their futures.
