I recently transferred from teaching high school to middle school in. My scholars are not much equipped to a lot of science and rigor to be college ready. Since I've transitioned, I've used mini resources that are available within the school. So far I have exposed my scholars to the opportunity of animal dissections and laboratory experience of simple experiments using baking soda and peroxide. There's still so much more that my scholars can get exposed to if given the opportunity such as field trips, microscopes, and chemical reaction experiments to not only be ready for college but high school as well. Some of my scholars never worked with chemicals or even traveled out of state. I want to expose my scholars to greatness, keep my goal of preparing any scholar that comes through my classroom door for college and real life scenarios.
