There are many benefits to learning to solve a Rubik's Cube. Students learn hand-on modeling, vocabulary, working in a group, independent work, critical thinking, problem solving, perseverance, as well as using their visual and tactile learning skills. I would like to implement the Rubik's Cube education modules in my classrooms. It will also help with engagement strategies. The second module includes an art component of using the cubes to make mosaics. This is something that will help both with the art aspect and the geometry. I would like to have the students go on the chrome books and create the mosaic through programming software, then apply what they found to the cubes and actually create their mosaics. When they are finished, I would like to use the cubes in my math club to have a solving competition.
