Technology is a necessary part of life today and yet many of my students lack the access and proficiency to use technology to further their education. Having a set of ten Chromebooks available for daily use in my classroom will give my students the opportunity to use technology in a collaborative setting. I am planning for small groups to use these computers on a daily basis, and during culminating research projects. I also utilize google classroom for daily assignments, quizzes, homework, and to post class notes or reference videos from YouTube. In the past, students have used their own devices or the department set of iPads that are shared with other classrooms. There have been many days when lack of consistent and reliable access to technology made it difficult for my students to learn, and for me to teach. I am hoping that this project eliminates this barrier for my Chemistry and Biology students!
