These Chromebooks will be used to start up a new center for our BrainWorkshop Class. The opportunity to experience coding at an early age will hopefully transfer into a lifelong skill. Students that acquire skills in coding now will be better prepared to enter the workforce later in life due to our coding culture. As a low-income school, my students' inadequate access in technology can keep them from learning critical tech skills. As we move forward in trying to close the achievement gap academically, we must be aware that in a tech driven society there is also a tech gap. These Chromebooks are a step in the right direction to closing the tech gap.

About my class
