This year, due to Covid-19 safety and the need of individualized materials, we are running out of our classroom materials. My Kindergarteners need materials for both home and in person learning. While, I have supplied many of my learners with materials, our classroom supply is diminishing. Most of our crayons are broken, dry erase markers are dry and our white boards need updating.
My students are working hard to learn academics while facing the challenges brought on to us by a pandemic. Students are used to sharing materials however, this year each student needs their own. My list mostly has materials that are needed to be replenished. By helping to fund this project, my students will get their hands on fresh materials to help us get through the remainder of the school year, as well as help students get a good start for the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.
I have also included materials to help my students get fresh literacy and math materials to continue to engage their learning. This includes gift cards to use towards new centers from Teacher Pay Teachers. Alphabet recognition is so important and some students are beginning to loose interest in the materials I have to keep them engaged while learning the alphabet. I am hoping to have updated games and puzzles, they will be interested in what they are learning.
Lastly, our district is no longer able to purchase our Weekly Newsreaders from Scholastics. These readers are so helpful when teaching social skills and science information. I would like to get enough to purchase for my students coming in next year. This year I purchased these readers with my own funds.
Thank you for your support and help with my classroom.
