Teaching students who have autism is a challenge when they are all on different levels and they need different materials throughout the day. Having a printer in my classroom will allow me to print materials for better understanding according to the students' learning needs at the moment it is needed. 'Tomorrow' will not benefit my students as well as 'now.' Sensory is a major component to helping my student succeed. Each student has different sensory needs. Yoga balls and differential seating will help my students stay focused when they need to bounce around while learning. Having hands on sensory items gives students time to think and concentrate, while staying calm. Sensory items also allow my students to center themselves and control their behaviors when they feel upset and can not verbalize how they feel.
