I am requesting a listening center because it will help my students with their reading comprehension. The listening center will also help my students increase their love for reading and have the students become excited about learning even more. The listening center will help my students become more independent as they read. They will be able to use their finger to follow along as the book is being read to them. My students are not only listening to the book, but they are also recognizing words they have or might not have seen before. The listening center will help them increase their vocabulary, their spelling, and their listening skills.
