My students are curious, thoughtful, and engaging. And...they love to read! I have the opportunity to loop with my students for first and second grade. This really allows me the chance to foster their love for books and the consistency is very important to my students. I am lucky to be teaching in a diverse community. Getting to learn about our differences is a very important aspect of our classroom culture. "It's okay to be different" has been a positive motto for each student as we continually work to build our classroom community.
