These chapter books will serve as novel study units to support character education for each student at Wilson year after year. They will also allow cross platform teaching for ELA skills and reading comprehension. My goal with this fundraiser is to have a physical book in the hands of every student who walks through my door that can inspire, educate, and challenge them. Chapter books in hand serve as a break from modern technology. Students can rest their eyes from screens as they hold a chapter book turning page after page. They can hear the fluency of teachers and develop their own as they read independently at their own pace. Physical books in the classroom give students a chance to feel and hold something that can change their perspectives and maybe even their lives.
