Having headphones will allow my students to focus on their individual learning while others are learning around them! Our classroom is a rather loud room at times. The headphones will decrease the distractions of academic conversations taking place all around them! We need headphones for each of my sweet students to be able to access instructional videos, lessons, games, and interactive activities via the computer. The headphones will not only help each of my students to focus on his/her work, but it will also build their confidence in reading (words/phrases/sentences can be repeated without their peers hearing). Headphones will especially help my students to access online learning in content areas such as English/Language Arts, Math, and Science, where the content vocabulary tends to be more difficult for struggling readers to work independently.
