My ninth and tenth grade students are innovators, explorers, and entrepreneurs who thrive in an environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, ingenuity, and problem solving. In addition, they desire to take calculated risks, grow daily as individuals, and determine long term solutions to real world problems; therefore, having technology in the classroom is important to them because students in my classroom will be able to engage problem based learning. Problem based learning is stimulating, engaging, and relevant to the real world. Furthermore, my students are always looking for creative ways to incorporate multimedia into their assignments because they are digital natives who will be expected to have a wealth of knowledge and experience with various programs and apps once they become part of the workforce or once they head up new start up companies.
