For the first time in my tenure, we are offering an ACT Preparatory class for rising seniors. Since we are a Title I school, our students cannot afford to purchase their own practice workbooks. A math teacher and I will be teaching the course in tandem. Test-taking can be intimidating. However, with practice, techniques, and strategies, scores can increase dramatically. Tips from timing to skills review can help improve scores. Being a person of color from a rural school district should not put students at a disadvantage. They will be able to use the workbooks both at school and at home. We want our kids to be able to brag about where they graduated from and exude excellence.
