I would like to create a safe place in our library classroom with this rug for students to read their books and magazines, collaborate with peers and write reflective response pieces. The Scholastic Writing magazines will provide inspiring articles, mentor texts, and writing tips and guide them into the writing process within their peer groups, Students can brainstorm, write, revise, and edit each other’s writing pieces. Peer groups created in a safe and stimulating environment will lead to exemplary reading and writing skills. Students can take their books, magazines, and writings home to share with family members.

About my class
