I serve a diverse population in the state of Florida. My students come from various backgrounds, such as a Haitian student from the Dominican Republic who speaks not only Spanish but English as well. My classroom consist of a good mix of students from various countries such as Guyana, Haiti, Mexico, and Seychelles off the coast of Africa. A good number of my students have learning disabilities and they work so hard to perform well in school. They are the sweetest kids I have yet to work with. They are respectful not only to me but also to their peers. They have made so many gains in reading and I want their love of reading to continue to grow.
