Welcome to Dr. Alexander's Future Amazing Mathematicians' University where learning Math comes alive daily! Last year, our theme was Math Royalty as you can see in the picture. Next year we will be working as construction workers "Building a Strong Mathematical Foundation". Most Math concepts studied during the year will revolve around the theme of "Constructing Mathematical Skills Brick by Brick". For example: They will use actual bricks to learn the units of measurement and develop an understanding of area and perimeter. When learning money and decimals, students will analyze construction workers' salaries. My little construction workers will remain completely engaged in learning which will undoubtedly have a positive correlation to their academic progress.
