We will use these STEM projects from Lakeshore Learning to be independent stations where students solve problems, collaborate, and present their findings all via technology (collaborative presentations, videos, and reports). We are shifting from a classroom culture of "consuming" technology to a class who uses it to develop the skills of a graduate- critical thinking, communication, citizenship, collaboration, content knowledge, and resilience. These hands-on projects give students with disabilities a chance to access science and math standards just like their non-disabled peers. Because of the accessibility of the technology, the barriers to learning that they have are lifted because they are able to access information and express ideas despite barriers in reading and writing.
