Academic, technical skills, and skills for the workplace are critical to getting and keeping a job, as well as advancing in a career. My students with special needs will be able to learn different workplace concepts and one of them being able to use a laminator. My students will be able to identify professional communication and determine its appropriateness as needed. They will learn the ins and outs of a laminator and how important it is within a workplace. My students will be able use adaptive equipment to turn on and off the laminator. They will identify and implement proper safety procedures. My students will be using the laminator to create name tags, safety cards, games and school wide projects for student leadership. My students take pride in being able to help others.
