Rocks and Minerals are great to look at on a computer screen, but trying to identify their properties is limited to a two-dimensional image. This hands-on learning experience through Diamond Del's Gem Mining allows students to not only get their hands on the minerals discussed in class, but each student will leave with their own bag to keep! These minerals will also allow students to better understand concepts taught in class; including luster, hardness, color, and cleavage. The best part of this field experience is that Diamond Del's comes to us, eliminating the extra costs associated with field trip transportation!
