With more access to informational text resources, my students will be able to better meet Common Core standards. The magazines will be used during whole class instruction to facilitate the growth of academic vocabulary, text structure, graphic sources, and overall informational text competency. Scholars will then use the Finding Evidence Comprehension Kit during small groups to support and extend the learning they did while reading the monthly magazines. With these resources, my scholars will be better prepared for their futures, which include graduating from college! Reading is one of the most important skills students learn, so thank you for your invested interest in supporting the future of tomorrow!
