A child is like a butterfly in the wind. Some can fly higher than others, but each one flies the best it can. Each one is special. Children, like butterflies, go through a series of transformations. In Kindergarten, children enter as preschoolers that are expected to emerge into confident and successful students by the end of the year. This transition is possible by addressing the needs of all children. Children in this day and age are very familiar with many types of technology. It is important to introduce all students to new concepts using a variety of tools and methods. Our mission statement at our school is "To achieve individual academic success for all students through a positive family, school, and community partnership." Finding and utilizing a variety of technology tools provides children with a meaningful way for students to be introduced to and have continued reinforcement in all curriculum areas that allows for individual academic success.
