Many students were not given as many opportunities to practice communication skills with peers and teachers during online learning as a result of COVID-19. Having fun and engaging language based materials where students can practice interacting with each other appropriately will help my students to increase their communication skills while also working on specific speech and language skills such as grammar, vocabulary, social communication, articulation, fluency, etc. Students in special education often benefit from using visuals and manipulatives to increase skill level in areas of weakness. The materials I selected will help my students reach their speech and language goals.
