This project will provide our classroom with a new sensory table, and items to put in it to provide our 40 preschoolers with multiple learning opportunities. 4 years old children love to learn through hands on experiences. This project will fund the table and items that I can intentionally add, to increase the students learning. The sensory table allows students to learn science, literacy, mathematical concepts as well as social skills and practice their fine motor skills. The table is a favorite for children because it is hands on learning. They can squish play dough, sort colors, count objects , find letters or numbers hidden in the sand, and build sandcastles. They can pour liquids, measure items, make shapes and write words. While doing this they are improving their fine motor skills and they are learning and practicing social skills; how to share and be a friend as well as problem solving skills.
