My students are a diverse bunch of kids from the inner city and in a low income area. Their reading levels are just about as diverse as they are and we are in need of books to reach their varying reading abilities. Not all of my students have fallen in love with reading yet. That love for books cannot develop if all of the books in my classroom are too difficult to read.
