I am lucky enough to work as an Exceptional Children's Resource teacher with 3 grade levels (K, 1st, 2nd). I love each and every one of my little friends and learning how to best serve them. In addition to my students having special needs, my school is Title 1 and has a high percentage of students who are living in poverty or don't speak English as a first language. We do the best we can with what we have, but often aren't afforded the same opportunities as other schools in the district. Teaching special education to a vast array of different students brings with it a lot of challenges and the need for significant resources to best meet each individuals needs. My friends work extremely hard and I need supplies to make every day meaningful in ways that matter to them with materials specifically designed for them.
