By having a rug to sit on instead of the cold floor, students will be comfortable, therefore making students more apt to focus on the small group lesson and focus on the content given. When it comes to individual reading, the rug will help build an environment where the children will become enthusiastic to learn. The rug I chose has sectioned spots that will be a great asset when students are to turn and share with a partner during a lesson. This rug will also be a part of classroom management. Having the sectioned spots enforces students to stay in their space and to not bother others.
