Due to the varying academic and socio-economic levels of the students in my classroom, having two iPad minis for students to work with a partner on for center work will be very beneficial. It will help to differentiate student activities and work for the varying academic levels and will make the different activities for each student grouping easily accessible due to the user friendly layout. Also, the students who are from low-income families will have daily access to technology that they otherwise will not be readily available at home. By funding this project, you will have helped level the playing field; allowing students who do not have access to such technology at home to practice basic skills.
