I have almost all the Orff instruments I need now but I don't have ANY carts or stand for them. I have already re-purposed library AV carts not being used in our building for some glockenspiels but have nothing for all my soprano / alto / bass xylophones and metallophones. Having good quality carts will not only last many years and serve THOUSANDS of students but will enable our students to easily move the carts themselves when we want to switch to a movement activity needing more space, will allow them to sit in a chair or stand to play, rather than sit or kneel on the hard tile floor or hunch over an instrument in an uncomfortable way. The carts I am looking to get through this request will quite literally be used by HUNDREDS of students K-6th grade EVERY single week for MANY YEARS to come. It is an expensive but very worthwhile investment in a school music room. These cart/stands will also make it much easier for my special needs students such as those in wheelchairs to more easily reach and play these instruments! Orff-Schulwerk is such a great way to foster teamwork, community, creativity, and to learn perserverence and self-confidence. I just want to give my students the best experience possible., and these will really help!
