The requested materials will allow me the opportunity to give the choice of where to work to all of the students within my classroom. I have several students who are constantly asking to stand while they work. The standing table will cater to those students. The end tables and the surf desks will allow students and small groups to move around the room to better support their learning. The reading pillows will help students get comfortable while diving into a good book. The days of using desks while learning are in the past. While adults are able to choose their desired work atmosphere, students should be given the same consideration. We are teaching much more than the curriculum here, we are teaching these students how to make reasonable and responsible choices. With letting them choose where and how they want to sit we are enabling them to take their own learning into their own hands. Thank you for your consideration.
