Number the Stars explores the themes of bravery, courage, family & true friendship. My students need to understand how important historical fiction is and its components, such as who, what, when, where and why of the Holocaust. Now more than ever we need to show how brave and courageous families areas we are facing difficult times with a pandemic worldwide. Having different emotions about what is happening is ok. I would love for my students to read about how one child made a difference in the lives of others.
