Students today need concrete examples of how the world operates. Immersing themselves in chapter books with exciting and new experiences is like being able to travel to other worlds. The ability to explore situations, foreign cities and countries, and alternative realities in chapter books provides students with an innate desire to learn and explore further. Chapter books help bring the world to our children without them needing a computer, the television, or other newer technology. Books are a vital learning tool that every classroom should have. Your generous donations will enable students to explore problem solving, conflict resolution, character analysis, and self-to-text connections. Students can associate with characters in books and see how they work through situations then bring that into their lives. Skills and lessons are often taken from chapter books and incorporated into students' lives, many times without realizing they are doing it. Thank you for enriching the lives of my current students and the many who will follow them through my classroom doors.
