My school of almost 700 students is in a low income community. We are a title 1 school and have a lot of students from different backgrounds. A lot of my students have shared their stories, and face difficult situations. I want to give them the tools that they may need as they grow older. In addition, my students had some of their learning cut short due to COVID 2020. As a result of this I see a deficit in their SEL proficiency. With funding from this project the opportunity to grow their SEL skills and become a better functioning member of society.
