When I work, I want to be comfortable and sometimes it is not at a desk. I want a more active classroom where my students are not stuck in one spot all day long. The new furniture, like the floor cushions, furniture risers, lap desks, and balance ball will provide the students with a different option besides a hard chair. Many students also have attention problems, being able to move and change seating can eliminate the behavior issues that may arise. They can pull the chairs together as they are discussing. They will be used all day long by all of my students. I want my students to be able to get up and move around the classroom. By having these different seating arrangements it will open up my classroom and give the students the option to really make it their own space. That is why I am doing this project. I can't wait to see the outcome!
