One thing I have started with my class this year, is reading a story after recess that conveys a powerful message. This project would help me be able to put more books into our classroom library that students would not only hear as a read aloud but they would also be allowed to check out and complete independent character and growth mindset assignments with it. Books are valuable tools that help shape and mold our minds. Books that focus on character education and growth mindset often focus on one isolated theme. Using these books and completing a character/ growth mindset activity that goes along with the story will not only help my students grow as learners but also help shape them to be successful in different situations that they might encounter. This project would not only impact my current students. Each year from here on out my students would be able to use these stories as character builders and growing their minds.
